IMA Dairy & Food

FLEXIBLE POUCH FILLER
With four different models processing at different speeds, all handling a wide range of pouch sizes, Ermetika from IMA Dairy & Food is a highly flexible solution with a reduced footprint. The machine adapts easily to handle film, spouts and caps from different suppliers, and uses the “filling through the spout” technique (spouts are sealed to the pouch before filling) to ensure 100% pouch filling is achieved, generating significant savings on materials. Fitted with a patent-pending leaking test system, Ermetika is able to check the resistance of the pouch seal. Extended shelf life and aseptic versions are available, the company says.

GEA

ASEPTIC FILLING SYSTEM
Designed for the dairy industry, the GEA Whitebloc aseptic filling system is an ideal solution for bottling extended-shelf-life and pasteurized products in HDPE and PET containers using a variety of closures. A hydrogen peroxide-based sterilization technology is used to meet the special requirements associated with sensitive beverages, GEA says. There is no need to rinse with water after sterilization, saving resources. Automatic bottle changeover provides production flexibility. Compact and easy to use, the GEA Whitebloc requires minimal maintenance since there are no moving parts or valves on the two treatment carousels.

Fogg

FOAM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Fogg says it has responded to requests for solutions to combat concerns in the dairy industry of foaming, possible flavor change, splashing and spillage, and extended shelf life with several options. The company offers a foam management system that is mobile and can be used on multiple fillers in one plant. The automated clean-in-place (CIP) trough makes flavor change and CIP quick and easy with the touch of a button. This process eliminates the need for CIP rings and increases sanitation for extended shelf life.
