Oakberry, the brand known for its layered açaí bowls and smoothies, is bringing its açaí to supermarkets for the first time in a new product category: Oakberry Sorbet. Exclusively available at Sprouts Farmers Market locations nationwide, Oakberry Sorbet builds on the popularity of the brand's in-store menu and unlocks endless new opportunities to enjoy açaí from home, the Miami-based company says. Wells Enterprises, in collaboration with Ferrero North America, unveiled a new twist on three iconic candy bars — Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and 100 Grand — now available as Ice Cream Candy Bars. These frozen treats transform the beloved flavors and textures of candy bars into real ice cream, letting consumers double treat themselves with a cool twist on a classic indulgence, the Le Mars, Iowa-based company says. According to ICCB Retail Insights, candy buyers are 55% more likely to purchase ice cream candy bars, so consumers can enjoy Butterfinger Ice Cream Bars, Baby Ruth Ice Cream Bars and 100 Grand Ice Cream Bars. The new frozen novelties are available in 6-packs at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.99.
COCONUT MILK DELIVERS WHOLE PROTEIN NUTRITION
Whole Moon introduced a new coconut milk which the Albany, N.Y.-based company says is the first plant-based milk that uses whole coconut meat, no oils, creams or parts to deliver exceptional taste, superior nutrition and a richer, more satisfying experience. Blending whole-roasted almonds, oats, pistachios, soybeans with whole coconut meat, Whole Moon’s slightly nutty Coconut Whole Protein offers a smooth, creamy and subtly sweet profile that’s perfect for sipping, blending or enhancing recipes, the company says. Whole Moon is available in four flavors: Almond, Oat, Pistachio and Coconut. A HEALTH-FORWARD SMOOTHIE POP
Crafted with half a serving of fruit per pop and no added sugar, Pitaya Foods' new Smoothie Pops are a health-forward and tasty snack for active, growing kids and families. The San Diego-based company has expanded the brand’s distribution with two of the Organic Smoothie Pop varieties available at more than 1,300 Kroger stores nationwide. HIGH-PROTEIN, LOW-CALORIE MILK
Continuing to innovate with its latest milk offering, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) introduced a real dairy milk that contains only 50 calories per serving with 75% less sugar than fat-free skim milk. Using an advanced ultra-filtration method, Milk50 by DairyPure removes sugar while preserving 9 grams of protein, significantly more compared to 1 to 2 grams in most almond and oat drinks, according to DFA. The new lactose-free, reduced-calorie milk, available in Original, Chocolate, and Vanilla, contains just 2-3 grams of sugar (the carbohydrate sweetener allulose), and is an excellent source of calcium (20% Daily Value), and a good source of vitamin D (10%) and vitamin A (15%), the company says. Milk50 is sold at Target stores nationwide and select West Coast retailers, including Walmart and Albertsons, in 48-ounce plastic bottles for a suggested retail price of $4.49.
