Horizon Organic launches Real Dairy Creamers; New probiotic butters from Lifeway Foods enter market; Breyers introduces new sundae-in-a-tub experience.

GLUTEN-FREE SNACKING CRACKERS

Cheez-It, manufactured by Kellanova via its Sunshine Biscuits division, debuted its first gluten-free crackers, Cheez-It Original Gluten Free crackers. Made with 100% real cheese, Cheez-It Original Gluten Free crackers deliver the same satisfying balance of toasted cheese, a hint of salt and signature tang, the company says. Designed to deliver a multi-sensorial experience and flavor-forward profiles, new flavors available this year are: Cheez-It Ultimate Snack Mix; Cheez-It Crunch, in three flavors Kick'n Nacho Cheese, Zesty Jalapeno Cheddar and Sharp White Cheddar; Cheez-It Snap'd Honey BBQ: and Cheez-It Grooves Loaded Nachos. A 9-ounce box is available for a suggested retail price of $4.49.

KIND OF AMAZING

Broomfield, Colo.-based Horizon Organic launched Real Dairy Creamers. Available in three flavors, Homestyle Vanilla, Chantilly Sweet Cream and Golden Caramel, the coffee creamers are made with just four organic ingredients: organic milk, organic cream, organic cane sugar and organic natural flavors. To support the launch, Horizon Organic partnered with Duncan Channon on a new ad campaign, "Kind of Amazing." The work celebrates the notion that a creamer can spark moments of imagination and joy. Horizon Organic Real Dairy Creamers can be purchased at major retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $6.49 for a 24-ounce carton.

LACTOSE-FREE THE WAY TO BE

California-based Alta Dena Dairy, a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), launched Alta Dena Protein, delivering 15 grams of dairy protein per serving in every glass. In addition to protein, Alta Dena Protein is lactose-free and delivers an excellent source of calcium as well as nine essential nutrients, offering a simple, wholesome way to power up every pour, the company says. Available in whole and 2% reduced fat varieties, it delivers real milk taste at a suggested retail price of $4.49. Alta Dena Protein is available at major retailers, including Walmart, Target, and regional grocery chains.

SNACK CAKES ENTER FROZEN TREAT MARKET

Holland, Mich.-based Hudsonville Ice Cream launched Little Debbie Ice Cream Sandwiches, available in two flavors: Oatmeal Creme Pies, vanilla crème flavored ice cream sandwiched between real oatmeal cookies, and Cosmic Brownies, brownie flavored ice cream sandwiched between chewy fudge brownies with rainbow chip ice cream. Little Debbie Ice Cream Sandwiches, a brand of McKee Foods, join a lineup of snack cakes inspired ice cream treats, which also includes pints and ice cream bars. The ice cream sandwiches are available at Kroger, Meijer, Hy-Vee, Giant Eagle, Mariano's and Tony's Fresh Market, with the potential for more retailers to be added later.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY BUTTER

Lifeway Foods, Morton Grove, Ill., announced the upcoming launch of Probiotic Kefir Butter, a hand-churned, spreadable cultured European style butter packaged in an 8-ounce tub. It will debut in three varieties: Unsalted, Sea Salt and Honey Butter. “Our strength has always been cultured dairy,” said Julie Smolyansky, president and CEO of Lifeway Foods. “We already operate a butter business and understand the category deeply. What has changed is the consumer mindset. We see a significant opportunity to scale and to innovate at the intersection of butter and kefir.” The new line is expected to roll out in select retail and foodservice channels beginning in 2026.

A Fruity, FLAVORFUL COMBINATION

Häagen-Dazs' Shops introduced a Sorbet Smoothie Collection. Made with Häagen-Dazs' signature sorbet, real fruit and flavorful juices, the lineup of five revamped smoothie flavors provides a refreshing burst of flavor that brings a taste of escape to everyday moments, the company says. The indulgently rich, yet refreshingly light collection exclusively features non-dairy recipes with sorbet-forward texture and real fruit layers. They’re available in five bold flavors: Aloha Mango Smoothie, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Strawberry Mango Smoothie, Wildberry Smoothie and Pomegranate Berry Smoothie.

LOVING COLD BREW LATTES

Royal Cup Coffee and Tea expanded its ready-to-drink cold brew line with four new flavors: Black Cold Brew, Cold Brew Caramel Latte, Cold Brew Vanilla Latte and Cold Brew Mocha Latte. Founded in 1896, Royal Cup Coffee and Tea, Birmingham, Ala., notes that its new lattes and cold-brew options are perfectly crafted to excite its current customers and attract new cold brew enthusiasts, with bold, black, sweet and indulgent options for every taste.

BRING ON THE PLANT-BASED PROTEIN WITH LESS SUGAR

Silk, a brand of Danone, unveiled a high-protein, plant-based beverage with 13g of complete plant protein per serving. Silk Protein also contains 3g of fiber, 50% less sugar than regular dairy milk, no artificial sweeteners and a third less sugar than valued-added conventional milk, the company says. The 130-calorie beverage has all nine essential amino acids in adequate amounts, along with calcium and vitamin D to support strong bones. Silk Protein is available nationwide in two flavors — Silk Protein Original and Silk Protein Chocolate — for a suggested retail price of $5.99 for a 48-ounce multi-serve bottle.

SWIRLING IN SOME EXTRA-THICK SAUCE

Breyers, a brand of The Magnum Ice Cream Co., introduced Breyers Sundae Swirls. The new sundae-in-a-tub experience is loaded with rich mix-ins and extra-thick sauce swirls that delivers a smooth, creamy base, rich mix-ins such as brownie and cake pieces, and a breakthrough technology that ensures thick swirls of ooey-gooey goodness in every scoop, the company says. The Sundae Swirls lineup is available in Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae, Salted Caramel Truffle, Strawberry Pound Cake and Chocolate Lava Cake. Breyers is made with 100% Grade A milk and cream, naturally sourced colors and flavors, and sustainably sourced fruit and vanilla. The new flavors are available in 48-ounce tubs at major retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.49.
