The Magnum Ice Cream Co. has been demerged from Unilever plc and is now considered the world's largest standalone ice cream business. The Magnum Ice Cream Co. is parent to many major ice cream brands, including Ben & Jerry's, Breyer's, Magnum, Popsicle, Talenti and Yasso.

Butter consumption hit a new record in 2025, while yogurt consumption showed the strongest overall growth followed by cottage cheese and regular ice cream in 2024. Cheese consumption remained unchanged from a record high the previous year, according to the International Dairy Foods Association.
