SCOOPING UP HIGH PROTEIN WITH GLP-1 COMPATIBILITY
Two Spoons Creamery introduced a GLP-1 friendly, high-protein ice cream in four mix-in flavors: Rocky Road, Strawberries & Cream, Caramel Swirl and Fudgy Brownie. Each 16-ounce pint has 30g of premium protein without added sugar or sugar alcohols. Instead, the frozen treat is sweetened with allulose, an all-natural, low-calorie sweetener found in figs and maple syrup that studies show can trigger the release of GLP-1, the Los Angeles-based company says. Additionally, each container also is full of all natural, gluten-free ingredients such as salted caramel, natural strawberry jam, fudgy brownies, marshmallows and nuts. Two Spoons co-founder and ice cream flavor guru Rich Ferreira notes that it took over a year to get its Rocky Road flavor just right. “We broke a few machines in the process, but hey — if it’s not full of fluff, is it even Rocky Road?”
