ECO-FRIENDLY PROBIOTIC YOGURT

West Babylon, N.Y.-based Nounós Creamery’s new probiotic strained yogurt is naturally packed with protein and billions of probiotics, including BB-12. Available in Classic Plain with 18 grams of protein and Vanilla Bean with 15 grams of protein, the new Greek-style yogurt uses only natural, non-GMO ingredients, is hormone and antibiotic-free, gluten and rBST free, with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Sustainability is another cornerstone of the Nounós brand. The company chose Greiner Packaging’s sustainable K3 cardboard-plastic combination which provides stability, uses less plastic and is 100% recyclable. The eco-friendly probiotic yogurts are available for a suggested retail price of $3.99-$4.99 for a 16-ounce reclosable K3 container.

BOLDLY-FLAVORED CHEESE FOR TACO, PIZZA NIGHT

Organic Valley debuted a new line of Flavor Favorites, which are real organic cheeses that conveniently enhance mealtime and snacking by adding new flavor experiences to everyday dishes. New premium Organic Valley Flavor Favorites are crafted cheeses available in four flavors: Italian Herb Mozzarella Shreds, Spicy Cheddar Shreds, Spicy Cheddar Slices and Smoky Cheddar Slices. The La Farge, Wis.-based company notes that the new Flavor Favorites line combine a variety of herbs, spices, and smoked sea salt to easily transform Pizza Night, Taco Night and one’s favorite burgers and sandwiches into a tantalizing delight. In addition to being ethically sourced from small family farms, the cheeses are USDA certified organic and produced without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, toxic pesticides or GMOs. The Flavor Favorites shreds are available for a suggested retail price of $5.99, while slices are available for a suggested retail price of $6.99.

BRING ON SPRING

Pinkberry kicked off the spring season with a new Mango Lemonade frozen yogurt. Available for a limited time only, this vibrant and refreshing flavor is available at participating Pinkberry locations, the Los Angeles-based company says. Blending the sweetness of mangoes with the tangy zing of lemonade, the Mango Lemonade swirl is like a tropical vacation in a cup, the company says. It suggests consumers try it with favorite toppings or with the shop’s recommended toppings: fresh mango, mango puree, and a lemon wedge. Additionally, Pinkberry is adding two new crushed teas to the menu this season: Passion Mango and Watermelon. Passion Mango is made with cold brew black tea, passion fruit and mango flavored syrups, fresh mango pieces, and ice. Watermelon is made with cold brew hibiscus cooler tea, watermelon and pomegranate flavored syrups, fresh watermelon pieces and ice.

UP FROM THE ASHES NEW PINT FLAVORS EMERGE

Gifford’s Ice Cream, headquartered in Skowhegan, Maine, announced its first-ever year-round pint line, which includes seven new flavors: Wyman’s Wild Blueberry Cheesecake, done in partnership with Maine-based Wyman’s, Banana Caramel Coconut, Salted Vanilla Toffee, Double Dough, Spicy Strawberry Pretzel, Passion Fruit Mango Sangria Sorbet and Reverse Chocolate Chip. The announcement comes after the company shared the news that it had started making ice cream again following a fire to the family-owned factory more than a year ago. “Back in the fall of 2022, we introduced our first-ever seasonal pints of Pumpkin, Apple Pie Churro, and White Peppermint Chocolate Chip, and our fans loved them,” said JC Gifford, fifth-generation ice cream maker and chief operating officer of Gifford’s. “We took those reviews from our customers to heart and decided to create not just one, but seven new pint flavors for our fans to enjoy year-round, and we’re so excited to bring this new lineup to our fans.”

GLUTEN-FREE OAT MILK FROM THE GREEN FIELDS OF IRELAND

Truly Grass Fed, a premium brand of sustainably produced dairy products from the green fields of Ireland, has expanded into a new category with the introduction of Truly Gluten Free Premium Irish Oat Milk. Available in Original Oat Milk and Extra Creamy Oat Milk, Truly Gluten Free is made with 100% premium Irish oats for the purest, creamiest flavor, the company says. BRING ON LACTOSE-FREE MILK

Petaluma, Calif.-based Clover Sonoma announced a new line of Organic Lactose Free Milk in Whole, 2% Reduced Fat and in three flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. Pasture raised from local, American Humane Certified organic farms, the milks are available throughout California at natural grocers including Whole Foods Market and Sprouts, in addition to other local independent retailers. “We aim to offer the tastiest, most nutritious value to consumers within a highly competitive dairy category,” said Clover Sonoma Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Susan Shields. “Research shows a demand for value-added milk across the Organic, Lactose Free and Flavored categories.” Half gallons of the Organic Lactose Free Whole Milk and the Organic Lactose Free 2% Reduced Fat Milk retail for $6.49. Quarts of the Organic Lactose Free 2% Reduced Fat Milk in Strawberry and Vanilla with zero grams of added sugar are available for a suggested retail price of $3.99, while the Chocolate version, with 2 grams of added sugar, retails for $3.99 for a 32-ounce quart.

SPICY SPREADABLE CHEESE BRINGS HEAT

The Laughing Cow introduced a spicy new cheese flavor, Creamy Jalapeño, marking its first new wedge variety in five years. "The Laughing Cow is constantly seeking new, innovative flavor options for our consumers, and through in-depth consumer research, we found there is a white space in the snack cheese category when it comes to Jalapeño," said Zach Fatla, brand director of The Laughing Cow. "We know bolder, hotter and unique cheese varieties are a top priority for consumers, which is why we are thrilled to be adding a spicy Jalapeño flavor to the delicious lineup of our creamy cheese wedges." The Laughing Cow Creamy Jalapeño joins the existing lineup of Creamy Original, Creamy Light, Creamy Garlic & Herb, Creamy Aged White Cheddar Variety, Creamy Spicy Pepper Jack Variety, and Creamy Asiago Variety. Laughing Cow is available at retailers nationwide, including Publix, Walmart, Meijer, Albertson's, and more for a suggested retail price of $4.59 for a 5.4-ounce container.

FROZEN FRUIT ON A STICK

GoodPop released two new, no-added-sugar Junior Pops in two fruit flavors: Mango and Strawberry. The frozen treats are made with 100% fruit juice and never any high-fructose corn syrup, alternative sweeteners or artificial flavors and dyes. Each box of Mango pops contains two whole mangos and each box of Strawberry pops contains 11 whole strawberries. The 25-calorie pops are made with Fair Trade ingredients, the Austin, Texas-based company says. GoodPop is sourcing all of its mangos through a supplier working to improve the lives of refugees displaced from their home countries through employment. This partnership enables the company to create jobs and empower those rebuilding their lives, it says. The new pops, each available in 6-packs for $6.99, are being sold nationwide at Sprouts, and regionally at Kroger, Whole Foods Market, HEB, Wegmans and WMei.

Clean supplement brand BEAM Be Amazing announced a new partnership with Dole Food Co., the brand synonymous with farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.
