EAT. DRINK. DAIRY.
THE MIGHTY THOR
Thor’s Skyr debuted a new lactose-free Skyr formula made with all-natural ingredients, more protein per serving than competitor products and no added sugar, the company states. The lactose-free formula enables dairy and non-dairy consumers alike to receive the protein-packed benefits of skyr made from cow’s milk, while also making it easier to digest and maintain lower blood sugar levels, the Portland, Maine-based company says. Available in three new fall flavors, Coconut, Key Lime and Coffee, the lactose-free formula is now part of all seven flavors in the brand’s lineup, including Vanilla, Strawberry and Blueberry. The formula also is naturally sweeter, removing the need for added sugar in their flavored offerings. The new recipe has a higher protein content. For example, the plain flavor has 21 grams of protein per 6-ounce cup, while the flavored varieties contain 18 grams of protein. Now available in over 1,600 stores nationwide, including Giant and Stop & Shop, Thor’s Skyr is available in refrigerated coolers for a suggested retail price of $2.29 for a 6-ounce carton.
