EAT. DRINK. DAIRY.
Websterville, Vt.-based Vermont Creamery introduced the brand’s first cultured sour cream lineup. According to the company, the line’s flavors were designed around complementing Latin-inspired food and potatoes. Specifically, Cilantro Lime is an ideal pairing for spicy dishes, delivering a cool and refreshing counterpoint to the heat in tacos, chili and cheesy quesadillas with hot sauce. Fire Roasted Onion & Chive embodies a savory sweetness, with smoky and roasted notes that are the perfect complement to loaded potatoes, crinkle chips, chilis and stews. And the Crème-Style Classic is anything but plain, with a rich, velvety texture, cultured notes and just the right amount of tang for pairing with traditional favorites.
Dallas-based LALA U.S. added dessert yogurt smoothies and cremas. Postres Auténticos dessert yogurt smoothies come in three flavors: Fresas con Crema (strawberries and cream), Tres Leches Cake and Arroz con Leche (rice pudding). Intended to be enjoyed after a meal or as a late-night snack, they are made with real whole milk for a rich, creamy taste. Each 6.7-ounce bottle also contains 5 grams of protein. The Postres Auténticos fruit and crema desserts are a convenient take on traditional Hispanic desserts. They come in two flavors: Fresas con Crema (strawberries and cream) and Duraznos con Crema (peaches and cream). Available in a 4-ounce single-serve format, the desserts can be enjoyed any time and are unique among other Hispanic desserts on the market.
Pittsburg, Calif.-based Ramar Foods expanded its premium ice cream brand, Magnolia, by launching eight flavors of boba ice cream. The Magnolia boba ice cream line is available in various grocery stores. According to Ramar Foods, the new line combines the best of two treats — premium Magnolia ice cream and boba. Typically, boba pearls are made with tapioca starch that hardens when frozen; however, Ramar Foods’ team made sure consumers will experience perfectly chewy boba with every scoop of ice cream. The entire line is available in pint sizes, and the flavors include Ube, Mango, Coffee, Green Tea, Wintermelon, Honeydew, Brown Sugar and Jasmine Milk Tea.
Marin French Cheese Co., Petaluma, Calif., says it introduced Golden Gate — the first in its new line of handcrafted premium cheeses. This washed-rind, triple crème cheese is named for the golden color of the cheese, as well as the Golden Gate Bridge, the iconic gateway to Marin County where the historic creamery is located. The unique cultures naturally present in California’s coastal air result in an artisan cheese with a true sense of place. Golden Gate cheese has a suggested retail price of $13.99-$14.99 for an 8-ounce package. Multiple rounds of handwashing in brine score the cheese to help develop the cultures and build an edible rind that preserves the cheese’s creamy texture and balances its earthy, rich flavor with just the right amount of salt.

According to MariMed, this innovative new category of cannabis products is expected to debut in Massachusetts this year, followed by launches in other legal cannabis markets.
Westby, Wis.-based Westby Cooperative Creamery says it introduced an all-natural sour cream squeezable pouch to its retail line of dairy products. The project began in 2018 when the creamery sought new ways to increase its sour cream sales. The squeezable sour cream pouch checked all of the necessary boxes; not only will it drive sales, but it also allows the creamery to compete with other well-known brands. The creamery expects to increase sour cream sales by 3,000,000 pounds annually, and as a result, will add four jobs. Benefits of the pouch for the consumer include less product waste, less mess with no need to use utensils to dispense the product, portion control and space savings in refrigerators due to the pouch’s easy stand-up design.
