Casper's Ice Cream, founded in 1925 and known for its iconic brands, FatBoy Premium Ice Cream and Jolly Llama, appointed Russell Stokes as CEO. With more than 20 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods and products market, Stokes will drive the Richmond, Utah-based ice cream company’s strategic growth initiative, further positioning it as an industry leader. To date, Casper manufactures more than 750,000 FatBoy products each day, which can be enjoyed in all 50 states. Stokes previously served as chief strategy officer at Mars Inc.
Glenn Campbell, regional director of operations for Williamston, S.C.-based Transervice Logistics, (which recently began working with Dairy Farmers of America) joins Dairy Foods for Episode 44 of the “Let’s Talk Dairy” podcast to discuss dairy logistics. A former driver and a 20-year veteran of fleet maintenance operations, Campbell weighs in on the difficulty of keeping dairy products cold during transportation and new technologies designed to refine distribution.
Mars Inc. acquired Kellanova, a provider of global snacking, international cereal and noodles, North American plant-based foods and frozen breakfast foods for $35.9 billion. Kellanova is home to snacking brands including Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, NutriGrain and RXBAR, as well as food brands including Kellogg’s (international), Eggo and MorningStar Farms. Kellanova had 2023 net sales of more than $13 billion, with a presence in 180 markets and approximately 23,000 employees.
